The Office of Research Affairs can assist Wright State medical students who are seeking research experiences during their medical education. Please use our online form to provide information about your previous research experience and the types of research that may interest you during medical school. The information can be used to introduce you to appropriate BSOM department chairs and other faculty research mentors.
You can use the online form any time. First-year students planning a student-initiated elective (SIE’s) for the summer between years 1 and 2 should fill out the form by Thanksgiving so letters of introduction can be sent to faculty in December. After an introduction, please follow-up promptly by making an appointment with the mentor to discuss possible research experiences.
A wide range of BSOM faculty provide research experiences for Wright State medical students. Some of them have listed profiles of their current work on the Faculty Research Mentors web page. This list is by no means complete.
For more information about faculty mentors, please contact Mark Willis in the Office of Research Affairs.
